We've got our key!!

So many events happened since my last blog.. not that I do not want to blog about it but I was tied down with so many work and other stuff.
The day we waited for so long is finally there..gotten our keys on 16th Nov 2007 though I was not present during the 2nd appointment at HDB due to some conflicting schedule and dear was having exam on that day so we let our lawyer handle it.
We were at Punggol from 11am to wait for the guy from SP Services and the official reno supposed to start between 1pm to 5pm.

Dear opening the door

Determining the direction of the house

Johnny came earlier than expected and we finalise most of our stuff - when will he deliver our house?

Cupboard and walls marked to be hacked away

Mark where our divider will be

End-Dec so that I can move in by 5th Jan and go for our mini honeymoon on 6th Jan! A very TALL TALL order but no choice.. As time is a constraint (on my part mostly), we will be buying all the lightings, kitchen stuff, toilet accessories by next Sunday! I need more sleep then..
I never knew I spent so much on taxi fare over weekend but it really hurt my pocket..haha, we took cab from Tampines to Punggol and then from Punggol to One Rochester (food tasting - yummy!!) and then from One Rochester to Sungai Kadut *ooppss* hahaha..

International Furniture Centre opened yesterday and we went there to take a look at what is available. During our journey, we discussed on what is our budget for furniture; Dining, Coffee Table, TV Console and Sofa. We both agreed not to spend beyond $4K for these items and if we can find something we like and below $4K, it will be a bonus..
We entered Furniture Club, saw this particular sofa which is very nice! Sleek and simple and it is in grey. Better still, the fabric is using nano technology where water will not seep into the cushion - easy cleaning for lazy girl like me. As we went further into the shop, dear saw a TV console which is very nice and a matching coffee table. We both knew this is the one. Price is quite ok.. negotiation started. Denni gave us a good price (we think and we hope) but we are not ready to commit, so told him we will take a walk around first. In the end, we still went back and paid $2K for the 4 big ticket items! Don't wanna think about the depleting account... sad...

Sofa but the color is grey (Pls ignore him, he's enjoying himself)

Dining table - pedestal will be in high-gloss black lacquer

TV console and coffee table

We can't wait for our house to be ready!! Growing anticipation
